The seed of Ratio was planted in 2015, when our founder — a former preschool teacher and stay-at-home dad — started hearing the same story over and over:

 
We need teachers, but we can’t find them.

After helping a few schools hire the right people (and realizing how much time and stress that saved them), Ratio Staffing was officially born in 2018 — first as a way to support schools with substitute staffing, and soon after, as a full-scale platform connecting early educators and programs of all kinds.

With the insight of real classroom experience and years of listening to what both schools and teachers truly need, Ratio has grown into a trusted community of professionals across the early childhood landscape — all working toward one shared goal: better classrooms, better connections, better care.

Meet the Founder

With over 20 years of experience in education and operations, and three young children of his own, Paul created Ratio to solve a real problem in a field he knows deeply and cares about personally.

Alongside his wife — a lifelong preschool teacher still active in the classroom — he built this platform to bring more ease, connection, and support to those doing one of the most important jobs in the world.
